Indian Boundary Park & Cultural Center is one of the highlighted historic locations on the tour this year!
On the north side of Chicago, there is a park named for the boundary established by the Treaty of 1816 between the Potawatomi and the U.S. government. Its main building is this picturesque Tudor-Revival field house designed by Clarence Hatzfeld and completed in 1929. The interior features Native American-themed ornamentation inspired by the park's name. The building suffered extensive damage from an electrical fire in May 2012. Subsequently, the landmarked building was fully restored. Today, Indian Boundary Park Cultural Center offers theater arts, painting and dance lessons.
