Join Opera-Matic for "Make Believe, Make a Friend: Art, Music, and Puppetry Immersion" igniting community imagination and connection. Our whimsical journey invites folks from all ages to explore creativity collectively. Led by eccentric performers, participants engage in playful activities, crafting puppet shows from shared stories and sculpting fantastical creatures. Musicians improvise melodies inspired by audience prompts, enhancing the magical atmosphere. Together, we construct a community crankie, pedaled to unveil our collective vision for a better future. Culminating in a jubilant dance, neighbors celebrate the bonds forged through shared imagination, reinforcing the vibrant tapestry of our community. Opera-Matic will be joined by Soup & Thread! Inspired by the ongoing community meal project Soup & Bread, Soup & Thread is a citywide series of family-friendly community sewing bees. Join us celebrate the pleasures of coming together to eat and to help construct and decorate the world's largest soup-themed tablecloth!
