Description

Gardeners are often close observers and recorders of the plants in their care, but did you know there?s a name for this work? In this introduction to the science of phenology, we?ll learn how tracking small changes in the timing of life cycle events of plants and animals over time can deepen our understanding of the natural world and our place in it. Participants will get hands-on experience with the tools and techniques of phenology by taking a visit to our own fruit trees in Skinner Park. Registration required, please contact communitygardens@chicagoparkdistrict.com to reserve a spot.
