Pianos in the Parks at Kennicott
Saturday, Jun 21, 9:00 AM - Jul 31, 5:00 PM

Description
Pianos in the Parks offers everyone the opportunity to play piano outdoors this summer! Six pianos will be placed in parks across the city on June 21st as part of Make Music Chicago—the day-long, citywide, DIY celebration of the musician in us all—and are available for anyone to play until July 31st. If you’ve never played before but want to try it out, you can stop by for a free introductory lesson during one of the scheduled times. If you have some experience already, feel free to sit down and tickle the ivories any time during each park’s opening hours. Sit down and Play at Washington Square, Bessemer, Margate, McKinley, Jackson, or Kennicott Park! Dre Meza and Neko Cortez offer free, 1-hour piano lessons at Kennicott Park on Sat, June 21 at 11:00 am and then on Wednesdays at 12 pm, June 25 - July 23. https://makemusicchicago.org
