Slow down and let the river inspire you during our Art on the River: Nature Journaling paddle. This relaxed canoe trip offers plenty of time to pause, observe, and reflect as we explore the natural beauty along the Chicago River. Participants will receive guidance on how to begin a nature journal, with prompts to help capture what they see, hear, and feel. No art or journaling experience is necessary, materials and instruction will be provided for those who need them, but you're also welcome to bring your own supplies or creative projects. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and remember to bring water and sunscreen. All equipment is included in your registration fee. Basic instruction will be provided, beginners are encouraged to join! Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the program start time. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Based in River Park, the Chicago Park District's RiverLab program is a series of educational events and activities dedicated to reconnecting residents of Chicago with their river. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
