The Chicago Park District provides thousands of children ages 6-12 years old with a variety of leisure and recreational activities in a safe, supervised environment. Through our Summer Day Camp and Park Kids afterschool program, participants enjoy arts & crafts, non-contact sports, wellness, nature-based activities and in-house special events year-round.
These programs have offered a lifeline for families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only are they an affordable option for essential workers and other working families who may be struggling financially, they are also a place for kids to access healthy meals and stay engaged in new and innovative ways.
The Chicago Park District Financial Assistance Fund provides support to make out-of-school time programs possible for all children regardless of their family’s financial situation. A tax-deductible gift of any size helps in these efforts.
