Free Timed Runs in a park near you!
'Go Run Chicago is a series of free organized Saturday morning community runs (1-mile or 5K) open to everyone interested in racing, running, jogging, walking, or volunteering. Long-time runners, newcomers, families, and children are invited to take part.
A volunteer-led, neighborhood-centered initiative, the weekly runs strengthen the community and encourage healthy and active lifestyles through running and volunteerism. The program is hosted and managed by the Chicago Park District and the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA).
Registration
Participants must register for each date they plan to attend, including children of all ages.
For each date:
- Registration Opens: Friday @ 3:00 p.m. the week prior to each 'Go Run
- Registration Closes: Friday @ 2:00 p.m. the day prior to each 'Go Run
Pre-registration online at www.CARAruns.org is required. Onsite registration is not available.
