Families are invited to enjoy dances, crafts, cooking classes and more

The Chicago Park District has made wintertime in Chicago so easy to love! Our organization invites families citywide to celebrate Valentine’s Day with fun dances, creative arts and crafts sessions, and much more.

“Valentine’s Day events bring out the youth in all of us,” said General Superintendent and CEO Rosa Escareño.  “From dances in fieldhouses to crafts in clubrooms, there is no greater expression of love than sharing experiences with neighbors, friends and family.”

In addition to in person events, there are virtual, recorded offerings which include craft tutorials, cooking demonstrations, and yoga sessions. For a full list of in-person and remote celebrations in observance of Valentine’s Day, visit
