December is packed with winter holiday events in the parks. Join in on the fun! The activities offered at each event vary, but some of the fun includes eating or skating with Santa; dancing; making a gingerbread house or holiday ornament, and enjoying live holiday music. For parents looking for time to shop, a few parks offer Drop and Shop events, where you can do just that - drop of the kids for some fun at the park while you shop. Ongoing throughout the season, enjoy Ice skating at one of the outdoor rinks and the festive conservatory flower shows. The Holiday Flower Show at Garfield Park Conservatory and the popular Winter Flower and Train Show at Lincoln Park Conservatory, are a favorite of many this time of year. The shows close in early January. We hope these events and activities help you enjoy the season.
Happy holidays from the Chicago Park District.
