Masks or Face Coverings Will Be Required to Participate
WHAT: As per the city's Phase IV guidelines for park use, all park users are expected to wear face coverings when in the park. Further, all patrons (over the age of 2 and medically able to tolerate a face covering) wishing to enter the Viewing Area for Movies in the Parks screenings will be required to wear a face covering to be admitted to the Viewing Area.
WHY: Universal masking is one of the simplest, easiest and most effective ways to limit the potential for viral spread in an outdoor group of people. The safety of every single one of our guests is important to us, so we expect all of our patrons engaged in this activity to take care of one another by wearing a face covering.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
Medical masks, paper masks, fabric masks, religious garments (such as niqabs and burkas), and bandanas are all acceptable face coverings.
A very limited supply of single-use, disposable paper masks will be available for anyone needing a mask to enter the viewing area.
Patrons Are Expected to Practice Safe Physical Distancing
WHAT: Be Safe Chicago's Phase IV Guidelines for park use require that social groups in park settings maintain a >6ft distance in open spaces. When in the Viewing Area, or in line to enter the Viewing Area, all Movies in the Parks patrons are asked to be aware of their surroundings and proactively maintain a >6ft distance from other park users outside their household group.
