Indoor and outdoor garden displays of thousands of flowers have been an integral part of the Chicago Park District since the very first parks were conceived. The sites below are a selection of the most interesting and beautiful gardens in Chicago’s parks. From Jens Jensen’s Formal Garden in Humboldt Park to the Garden of Phoenix in Jackson Park, Chicago’s gardens are a spectacular site to see beginning late April and throughout the summer and early fall. Throughout the year, Chicagoans and visitors can experience breath-taking displays of exotic flowers and foliage at the Garfield Park Conservatory and the Lincoln Park Conservatory, two of the world’s largest botanical gardens under glass.
