Description

Mounted on a rustic boulder, this whimsical bronze plaque includes a sculptural rabbit and butterfly. Howard Wheatley Allen produced the sculptural plaque.

A prolific sculptor of animals, Allen specializes in birds. In addition to this piece known as Rabbit and Butterfly, he also created the Lincoln Park Zoo’s Heron sculpture.

The plaque includes the following text: “Love the animals and all the small creatures. Somehow loving them helps us to be gentler and kinder with other people.” It was dedicated to Cheryl Norton Stuart on April 24, 1985.
