Who we are.

As one of the largest municipal park managers in the nation, the Chicago Park District works to improve the quality of life in Chicago with recreation and leisure opportunities in safe and beautiful parks.

We offer thousands of programs and events, and are responsible for maintaining 28 indoor pools, 50 outdoor pools, and 28 miles of lakefront including 23 swimming beaches plus one inland beach.

Every Chicago Park District employee plays an important role in the vital work we do as stewards of Chicago’s parks.

Our positions range from traditional office roles such as Human Resources and Accounting to more unique ones like Sailing Instructor, Cultural Enrichment Manager, and Tree Surgeon.
