The following remain closed: all playgrounds, all pools, some spray features, beaches and all other areas & facilities east of Lake Shore Drive except for the Lakefront Trail, harbors and golf courses. 100+ spray features are open now. Water fountains remain off. The Lakefront Trail and The 606 are open, users must keep it moving. Most fieldhouses are open 9 am – 5 pm weekdays for washrooms and shelter only. GO HERE to learn more.
Hollywood stars return to Chicago skies this summer, as Movies in the Parks brings big-screen entertainment to local parks for the twentieth season. Join us in-person at the parks for classics from the Golden Age of Hollywood and retro childhood favorites, to the best family-friendly box office favorites from recent years.
Public health guidelines, including facemasks & a 100 person capacity, will be strictly enforced to ensure the health & safety of all who attend. Please review the health guidelines all movie patrons must follow. Park fieldhouses and restrooms will not be open during the movies.

New this summer - drive-in movies in the parks! Six drive-in screenings will be held in park parking lots, starting August 11 and continuing every Tuesday and Thursday through August 27. Parking lots open at 7 pm, movies begin at 8 pm. Movies are free, but pre-registration is required. Registration is available one week prior to each movie. Capacity varies between 40 and 60 cars per lot based on parking lot size. Participants are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times while outside their vehicle.
