Join the Chicago Park District and the Chicago Parks Foundation on Saturday, April 7 for the Nature in the Parks workshop.
Did you know that the Chicago Park District manages more than 8,800 acres of green space, making it the largest municipal park manager in the nation? The Chicago Park District’s more than 600 parks offer more than just playgrounds, pools, and sports field they include nature! Learn from the Chicago Park District team about community gardens, nature play spaces, and green spaces across Chicago.
Special guests from Cornell Park Advisory Council will share their story how they transformed their pocket park into a low cost high impact nature play space!
If you haven't been to Indian Boundary Park yet you are in for a treat. This unique park in West Rogers Park features a Nature Play Space, community garden, ponds, many trees, and an all wood playground!

Advisory Council Forms
All existing and newly formed advisory councils and those interested in becoming an advisory council, must review and complete the forms below. Fax the completed Application, Registration Form, Partnership Pledge and By-Laws to the Chicago Park District Community Relations Division at (312) 742-2797.

What makes a PAC compliant?
- Submitting Annual Report
- Holding Yearly Elections
- Submitting bylaws to the Chicago Park District
- Maintaining PAC binder in parks, which includes: membership applications, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, financial reports
Registered Chicago Park District PACs, enjoy the use of rooms, space for their monthly meeting, application fee waivers, expedited event permit processing, partnership benefits of no or reduced fees and liability insurance. If a PAC is not compliant they will not be privy to these benefits. PACs will be treated like every other community group and organization until they become compliant.
