Description
All community gardens in Chicago parks are independently managed and financed by community members. This garden is managed by the Chase Park Community Garden group. The garden was founded in 2015 by neighbors of the park and its goal is to connect residents and community groups with each other and Mother Nature. The garden focuses on edible produce and local pollinators like milkweed. It is located east of the Chase Park fieldhouse, north of the circular running track, and south of the tennis courts, beneath two oak trees. The garden consists of 37 plots: 34 family or individual plots, two long pollinator boxes, and one Community Plot open to all. Amenities also include a compost system and a tool lockbox, with supplies and seeds for all gardeners.
If you are interested in a plot at Chase Park Community Garden, please email inquiries.chaseparkcommunitygardens@gmail.com to be added to the waitlist.
