Located in South Chicago, the community garden at Clara D. Schafer Park is a place for the neighborhood to rest and restore their connection to the land with their own growing practices. The garden is connected to the South Chicago farm managed by Urban Growers Collective, which serves four primary functions: providing food, training, mentoring, and land access. Comprised of seven acres of growing space, South Chicago is their largest farm and produces the bulk of their harvests. 10 x 10 foot plots are available for the entire growing season.
