Step inside and embark on a new adventure in history, ecology and beauty. The Chicago Park District offers world-class conservatories and a teaching greenhouse to delight visitors with new discoveries from the natural world —- all in the heart of the city.
At Garfield and Lincoln parks, stunning glass conservatories will transport you to another place and time. No matter the season, the conservatories offer visitors a lush tropical paradise full of towering palms, brilliant blooms and ancient ferns. In addition to showcasing exotic plants and annual flower shows, these city landmarks offer visitors a chance to interact with Chicago’s history or discover something new through regular arts and cultural performances.
At Kilbourn Park, visitors can explore the wonderful world of nature at the Park District’s only teaching greenhouse. This year-round organic greenhouse offers garden programs, educational workshops, an annual plant sale and more.
