Description
Created in 2019, the Diversey Harbor Community Garden provides an area for the community to come together to enjoy gardening and realize the benefits of growing your own food. this 7,245 square foot three season, organic, edible garden is located in Lincoln Park just north of the Diversey Harbor Yacht Club, and will have 80 4'X4' plots to be offered to the community. It will be surrounded by a fence and native pollinator bed to encourage greater vegetable yields as well as a large shaded communal space to encourage gardeners to rest and connect with each other.
Phase 1 construction will begin in June 2019 with the construction of 40 4'X4' beds, followed by Phase 2 in Spring 2020 with another 40'X4' beds, a fence, the shaded communal area and herb spiral. For more information, contact: DiverseyHarborGarden@Gmail.com
