The mission of the Edgewater Beach Community Garden is to enhance the well-being and beauty of the community by providing gardening space for people to grow organic produce, increasing social interaction in the community and creating a garden in an attractive setting.

The garden is about 100 meters east of the park entrance at Berwyn and Sheridan avenues, in one of the northernmost stretches of Lincoln Park. It consists of sixty-five 3.5’x7.5’ raised bed allotment plots for growing edible plants and plants that attract pollinators.

The garden dedicates two of its group plots to the Care For Real food charity and two plots cultivated solely for native pollinators. For more information about the Edgewater Beach Community Garden, visit or contact
