The bike & pedestrian trails are open in their entirety, but caution must be used at the Oak St. curve where the trail narrows considerably. Additionally, icy conditions are still possible, especially in the morning. Crews are monitoring daily, starting at 6 am. Please exercise caution.
Fieldhouses are Open
At this time, most fieldhouses are open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, for washrooms and shelter only. To confirm a park's hours, please call the park.
Chicago Park District fieldhouses serve as hubs for cultural and recreational programming and community events. More than 240 fieldhouses are located throughout the city and range from ornate, historic buildings to modern athletic centers. Many older fieldhouses are currently being renovated as part of the “Save Chicago’s Treasures” initiative.
Fieldhouses vary in size and amenities, offering facilities ranging from gymnasiums and meeting rooms to auditoriums, ballrooms, fitness centers, rooftop terraces and more. Many of these spaces are available for rent for birthday parties or other small community events, while some of our larger buildings can serve as gorgeous and unique locations for special occasions such as weddings.
Each manned fieldhouse includes Chicago Park District staff who can assist you with registering for programs or securing rental space for an event.
