For all other rinks, due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a 50-person occupancy limit at Warren, Riis, McKinley, Midway, and Mt. Greenwood, and a 25-person occupancy limit at Wentworth Park. Admittance will be first come first served. Warming buildings will be accessible to the public for skate rental only. Expect additional wait times for entry, skate rental and cleaning.
As with all other park spaces, masks are mandatory while skating, and social distancing must be observed at all times. No more than two (2) people may skate together.
Accessibility Definition
An ice rink is considered accessible if it has an accessible path of travel onto the rink.

Programs
The following programs are offered at all rinks except for Maggie Daley. Registration is required.
Drop-In Learn to Skate Lessons
This drop-in session provides instruction on the basics of balance, forward stride, starting and stopping, and backward skating. Recreational or hockey helmet, gloves and knee pads are recommended.
Admission (includes skate rental): $10 for individuals
Stick & Puck and Pond Hockey
This combined program offers 45 minutes of Stick & Puck followed by 45 minutes of Pond Hockey for one price.
Recreational or hockey helmet and stick are required. Personal protective equipment as outlined by USA Hockey is recommended for all players. USA Hockey link:

Admission (includes skate rental and access to Pond Hockey program): $8 for individuals, $10 for parent & child
Stick & Puck:
Offers open access to the ice specifically for practicing stickhandling, skating and shooting skills. No scrimmage games or slap shots allowed. Recreational or hockey helmet, gloves and knee pads are recommended. Youth skaters may be on the ice with supervision.
Pond Hockey Practice:
Practice non-contact battling up to 5 on 5 skaters. No slap shots or body checking allowed and hockey helmets are required. The program is open to children and adults and is offered in combination with the Stick & Puck program.
Events
Silver Skates Speedskating Competitions and Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Clinics take place in January and February.

Sled Assisted Skating
Sled assisted skating allows people of all abilities to skate together. These specialty sleds for both children and adults are designed with a foot guard, ABS bucket seat, footrest and pusher handle. No usage charge. Reservations required by calling (312) 442-2194. Please call to reserve 24 hours prior to your visit to the rink.
Skate Trainers/Walkers
Skate trainers/walkers are available for children who are new to skating. These devices are available on a first come, first served basis at all rinks, at no charge. Please inquire when visiting a rink.
