Hours Notes
Natural areas are open from dawn to dusk daily.
Description
Over 6 acres of native dune habitat flourish at Loyola Park Natural Area along Lake Michigan in the East Rogers Park neighborhood. Here visitors can spot nesting shorebirds and a variety of native dune forbs and grasses. Natural areas along the lakefront help stabilize the shoreline, minimize erosion, and reduce sand deposition in other areas of the park.
Help keep wildlife wild, safe, and healthy by following posted signage and Natural Areas Rules and Regulations.
