Description
Senn Unity Garden is a little gem of open space tucked between residential buildings in the Edgewater neighborhood on the Northeast side of Chicago. It features 22 raised beds for vegetable gardening, a grape arbor, flower gardens around the perimeter, and public art, all surrounded by green space. Its main intent is for gardeners to grow fresh veggies for their personal use, but it also provides a welcome haven for neighborhood children to play, sun lovers to lounge, and nature lovers to take a break from the concrete jungle. Vegetable plots are awarded on a first come first served basis, with priority given to returning gardeners. Please contact sennunitygarden@gmail.com for more information.
