This park space is 140.11 acres.
History
The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District owns property in the Calumet Area. The Park District identified a 140-acre site along the Calumet River and entered into a lease agreement with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Chicago in 2012 for the use of land to create this park. This is another one of the District’s natural area parks.
