Junior Lifeguards
Age: 8 - 15
An aquatics sports camp that focuses on teaching participants the skills necessary to become a future lifeguard. Participants learn to row a boat, paddle a rescue board, and various rescue techniques at select beach locations throughout the city. Offered in the summer only.
Note: A swim skills test is required of all participants.
Lifeguard Training
Age: 15 and up
Do you have what it takes to be a lifeguard? Learn the techniques necessary to become a Chicago Park District lifeguard in this training. Participants must be able to swim 500 yards. Note: This class is required for employment as a Chicago Park District lifeguard. Open to all who apply for the lifeguard position. Swim Club
Age: 6 and up
This specialized club is dedicated to advancing the skills and techniques of athletes interested in improving their swimming abilities. Participants must be proficient swimmers in all four competitive strokes. Athletes will have the opportunity to compete on local, regional and national events.
Note: Coach's permission required for all new participants.
Water Polo Club
Age: 6 and up
This specialized club is dedicated to advancing the skills and level of play of athletes interested in improving in the sport of water polo. Participants must be able to tread water and be a confidant swimmer. Athletes will have the ability to compete in local, regional and national events.

TEAM Sports
Age: 6 and up
TEAM Sports includes Swim Team, Water Polo, and Junior Lifeguarding. Participants will learn or improve their four competitive strokes, learn skills and game techniques for water polo, and how to use rescue equipment and perform rescue techniques. There are competitions offered for every ability and age level.
