A virtual version of our standard day camp program and our special recreation day camp program will be available, along with other online classes such as arts & crafts, fitness, dance, and specialized special recreation programs.

Registration Dates
Registration for in-person day camp began June 11 & 12.  Registration for all other summer programs will be offered entirely online beginning Friday, June 26 at 9 am.

In-Person Programs

Day Camp
While the in-person camp experience will be different in several ways, many of the fun activities kids are used to experiencing will remain, such as arts & crafts, non-contact sports, wellness and nature-based activities, and in-house special events. The safety of all campers is our priority.  Camps will run in accordance with state and city guidelines, limiting the number of campers we can safely program for at each park. Due to space limitations, camp will only be available for Chicago residents.
Spots are still available in some camps.

Junior Lifeguards
This aquatics sports camp for ages 8-15 focuses on teaching participants the skills necessary to become a future lifeguard. Participants will learn to row a boat, paddle a rescue board and various rescue techniques at select beach locations throughout the city.  The program runs from July 6 to August 14.  All participants must successfully demonstrate swimming proficiency for their level in order to remain in the program. Any participant who is unsuccessful will be released from the program and issued a refund with a 15% penalty.  Due to space limitations, this program will only be available for Chicago residents.

Gymnastics
A selection of gymnastics classes, including three 2-week recreational camps, will be also offered this summer from July 6 through August 14.  Due to the current health crisis many changes will be in place to ensure the safety of all. Changes include smaller ratios, lower targets, shorter training times, following health guidelines, and different procedures for drop off and pick up that will be strictly enforced. Training groups will have a staff to participant ratio of 1:9.  Due to space limitations, these programs will only be available for Chicago residents. With these changes, the program quality will not be compromised and above all the safety of all patrons will be at the top of our list.
