Description

This free outdoor/indoor ambulatory performance begins at the Grant Park lakefront for a drumming and singing performance by the Oka Homma Singers and a Water and Soil Ceremony presented by Billie Warren, a biologist and member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. Then Choreographer Ayako Kato, dance artists Asimina Chremos, Rosely Conz, Carl Gruby, and artist/writer/performer Andy Slater lead audience members from the lake to the A. Montgomery Ward Gardens to the Agora sculpture and finally to the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago to experience the indoor portion of ETHOS IV. Please note, the performance experience traverses roughly 1.2 miles from the Lakefront through Grant Park to the Dance Center. Please wear footwear that allows you to move comfortably and dress to spend at least one hour outdoors. If you need accommodations to participate, please email columbiatickets@colum.edu or call 312-369-8330.
