Donald J. Edwards, Commissioner

Donald J. Edwards is the CEO of Flexpoint Ford, LLC, a private equity investment firm with $2.0 billion under management focused on healthcare and financial services. Prior to founding Flexpoint, Mr. Edwards was a Principal at GTCR, a leading Chicago-based private equity firm. Prior to joining GTCR, Mr. Edwards was an investment banker at Lazard Ltd. where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Edwards earned a BS degree in finance with highest honors from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar.

Mr. Edwards is a Commissioner of the Chicago Park District, a Trustee of the University of Illinois, a Trustee of the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), a Director of Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, a Director of World Business Chicago, and Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committees of the Board of the PGA of America.

Mr. Edwards has lived in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago for the past 24 years with his wife, Anne, and their three children.
