Egg hunts, brunch and photo opportunities for young Chicagoans
CHICAGO—Bunny events are going to be hoppin’ this spring! Throughout March, Chicago Park locations will be hosting egg hunts, brunches, and other fun events to keep kids active and entertained. Registration costs and times vary across park locations.
“Bunny events are where cuteness meets creativity,” said Superintendent & C.E.O. Rosa Escareño. “Kids will have a chance to decorate and hunt eggs and make fun crafts; it’s a great way to spend a day without breaking the bank. We highly encourage you to bring your children out and make a memory at these events!”

Friday March 15, 2024
Pool Egg Hunt
Sheridan Park, 910 S. Aberdeen St., 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
$2.00 admission, Ages 3 to 12
Enjoy this Bunny Holiday time egg hunt in the pool. Participants must wear swim gear. The fun is for ages 6-12 years. Fee $2.00. Bring your own basket.
Flashlight Egg Hunt
Arrigo Park, 801 S. Loomis St., 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
$2.00 admission, Ages 3 to 12
Children ages 3-12 years are invited to stop by and join the fun at the Egg Hunt with Flashlights or Cell Phone. The fun starts in the evening at 8:00pm so bring along a parent or chaperone. The fee is $2 per child participant. Wear appropriate gear for the weather.

Hop on over to Galewood park for a colorful Egg hunt! Enjoy crafts, music, basket raffles, and hunting of eggs in the field. Don't forget to bring a camera to capture a photo with the Bunny. Each participant must bring their own basket. Crafts and photos with the bunny is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Egg Hunt starts at 11:15 a.m., basket raffles and golden eggs prizes follows.

Berger Park will host its annual Mad Hatter event, complete with an egg hunt, crafts, dancing, face painting and a meet & greet with a special bunny. Each participant must bring their own bag or basket to collect their prizes and activities. Silly and unusual hats are encouraged!

The fun run is for ages 6-12 which will be held outside. There will be 3 top runners for each age group. After the children participate in the run, they can head inside to take a picture with the bunny. Pre-Registration is required.

Enjoy an egg-cellent time hunting for coloring eggs in the park! At this family-friendly event children will be divided into four age groups: 0-3yrs., 4-6 yrs., 7-10 yrs., and 11-12 yrs. Make sure to bring your own basket. There will be arts & crafts, facing painting, and maybe a bunny sighting. Make sure to bring your camera to capture cherished memories of the day. The Hermosa Park staff have partnered with Hermosa Neighborhood Association for this community event.
