Pickleball has become the fastest growing sport across the nation, including right here in Chicago! What better place to build the largest Park District pickleball complex than Chicago’s Front Yard? The completion of 16 new, designated pickleball courts and 6 new tennis courts expands recreational opportunities where residents (and tourists) can enjoy an even wider array of leisurely activities and attractions, including softball, skateboarding, athletic runs, festivals, museums and more!

Keeping with its commitment to support the recreational needs and interests of Chicago residents, the Park District announced “Pickleball Mania”, plans to construct 50 new pickleball courts throughout the city by 2025. This investment expands opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels across the city and puts Chicago in line with other cities across the country that are meeting the growing popularity of the sport. Grant Park is just the first of many projects that will bring pickleball facilities to neighborhoods across the city.
