Online registration opens December 4 and 5

CHICAGO—The Chicago Park District is proud to serve patrons year-round through rain, snow, and bitter cold. This winter, there are numerous ways for residents of all ages to remain active and social. The winter session runs from January 8, 2024, through March 24, 2024. The Chicago Park District is excited to share that programs are available to view now at www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/winter-programs.

Online registration begins on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. for in-person programs at parks located west of California Ave. and for all Virtual Programs. Likewise, all programs east of California Ave. open at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Registration for gymnastic centers opens online at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.   

“Our parks are Chicago’s pillar for fitness, entertainment, social interaction, and creativity,” said General Superintendent & CEO Rosa Escareño. “The breadth of our Winter offerings is testament to our commitment to the mental and physical well-being of all patrons, no matter their age or ability.”

Program Highlights

Program highlights this winter include 3D printing for young people, abs & core workouts, ballet, basketball for folks of all ages, ceramics and so much more. The Park District also offers adaptable sports for park patrons with physical and mental disabilities.
