Families are invited to enjoy dances, crafts, cooking classes and more
The Chicago Park District has made wintertime in Chicago so easy to love! Our organization invites families citywide to celebrate Valentine’s Day with fun dances, creative arts and crafts sessions, and much more.
“Valentine’s Day events bring out the youth in all of us,” said General Superintendent and CEO Rosa Escareño. “From dances in fieldhouses to crafts in clubrooms, there is no greater expression of love than sharing experiences with neighbors, friends and family.”

Valentine Candy Bingo
Holstein Park, 2200 N. Oakley Ave., 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Celebrate Valentine's Day in the Park! Spread some love this Valentine's Day and have a sweet time by playing Candy Bingo.
Daddy Daughter Dance
Sheil Park, 3505 N. Southport Ave., 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
$10.00 per person, 12 and under, with an adult present
This event brings daddy and daughters together for an unforgettable night of dancing.

Put on your dancing shoes and join the Amundsen Park Staff on the dance floor! We will have a DJ, light refreshments and a sweets table!

$10 Admission per Family, 12 and under, with an adult present
Put on your dancin' shoes and join us for our annual Family Valentine's Day Dance at the park. Our family friendly dance features a DJ, dancing, light refreshments, and a photo opportunity.

Love is in the air! Enjoy a Valentine’s Day Dance with your family and friends. There will be dancing, treats and crafts. Don't forget to bring a camera for the photo booth and to capture memories of the evening. Children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

We invite you to a special evening with your loved ones at our annual Family Sweetheart Dance. Come out and dance the night away as you make family memories. Capture a photo at our photo station and enjoy dinner! Event is co-sponsored by Loyola Park Advisory Council. Children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver.

Come play the fast paced and fun dice game, Tenzi. The player with the most wins out of 20 rounds will win a $20 gift card. Candy for everyone!

Free Admission, Ages 1 year and 6 months to 5
Our little ones will enjoy making cute and heartfelt Valentine crafts in celebration of this special day. The kiddos will then head over to the gym for some fun and games. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Frida Kahlo Art Project
Mayfair Park, 4550 W. Sunnyside Ave., 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Free Admission, Ages 60 and up
Each participant will paint a pre-sketched glass vase with an image of Frida Kahlo and sacred heart. We will use special paint that adheres to glass for this project. All materials are included.
Valentine’s Day Skate
Franklin Park, 4320 W. 15th St., 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Free Admission, Ages 6 to 15
Enjoy Valentine’s Day [roller] Skate with your friends. A limited supply of roller skates will be available for use. If you by chance have your own pair of skates - bring them.
Family Arts and Crafts

This activity is designed for the whole family to enjoy and learn the creative process together. Participants along with their parents will create projects using all types of art material such as paper art, paint, clay projects, and more.
