Junior Quartet: Kind of Blue at Marquette

Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" has been a watershed record for the last 60 years, with new generations of musicians drawing lessons from its statements in finesse. The Junior Quartet is no exception! Com and see these young people, all of whom are younger than high school age , play classics like "All Blues" and "So What" in splendid style-with a few B-sides from the original sessions thrown in for good measures. Free and open to the public inside the historic Marquette Park Auditorium, with seating provided. This show will be precede by the Marquette Park Backbeat Project performing "Dillaludes", a presentation of iconic pieces from J Dilla's album "Donuts" in a jazz quintet format.
