Description

The Diversey Natural Area comprises a little over three acres of native prairie, savanna, and wetland habitats. Converted from an often-flooded area in Lincoln Park (north of Diversey Harbor), the abundant native wildflowers, grasses, and sedges are better suited to the wet conditions than the previous turf grass lawn that previously grew in this space. Diversey Natural Area also serves as a stormwater retention area for the artificial turf sports field to the south.

Help keep wildlife wild, safe, and healthy by following posted signage and Natural Areas Rules and Regulations.
