Description

The Park No. 540 Natural Area runs along the southern and western borders of the park. Stop by at different times of the year to see native wildflowers in bloom, such as the yellow umbrellas of golden Alexanders (Zizia aurea), spiky array and yucca-like leaves of rattlesnake master (Eryngium yuccifolium), or giant leaves of prairie dock (Silphium terebinthinaceum).
