Description
Ravenswood Manor Park's garden is composed primarily of native plants. It was planted in 2000 on the former Eastwood Street at approximately 2850 W. Eastwood. The planting was a part of a Boy Scout Eagle project. This took place approximately 10 years after Eastwood Street was vacated due to Horner Park Advisory Council's advocacy, which nearly doubled the size of the park. In 2016 we are planning a restoration of the garden. Volunteers are needed to help maintain, weed and water the garden. Interested volunteers should go to our website, www.hornerpark.org, and sign up for our e-newsletter, and like us on Facebook. We can be reached at stewardship@hornerpark.org.
