7348 N. Paulina St.
Chicago, IL 60626
Description
Our community garden consists of two areas. One is a large, raised concrete garden in front of the field house (immediately to the west of the fieldhouse by the front door.) The other garden area is between to the two entrance paths from Paulina Ave into the park. The raised concrete garden is planted with native plants and grasses. The Paulina area garden is mostly shade and contains shade ornamentals, such as hostas.
Our goal is to beautify Touhy Park and make it a safe environment for pollinators. There is no fee for joining the group. Help with planning, planting, and watering is appreciated. The garden group plans in conjunction with the Touhy Park Advisory Council meetings at the park field house on the 2nd Monday of odd numbered months at 7 p.m. To get involved, email touhypac@gmail.com, or check out our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/touhypark.
