In the summer, we offer four positions for ages 16 and up: Lifeguard, Recreation Leader (for day camp), Special Recreation Leader (for day camps for kids and adults with intellectual disabilities), and Junior Laborer (landscape maintenance). Additional positions are available for ages 18+.
Lifeguards
2024 Pay Rate: $19/hour. Ages 16+
Paid Certification • Paid Training • Helping People
Lifeguards keep swimmers safe at beaches and pools.
Stay active all summer and earn life-saving
qualifications.
Most positions run from mid-May through early September.
The 2025 position will open in fall 2024. Complete the Lifeguard Interest Form to be notified when the position opens.
Recreation Leaders
2024 Pay Rate: $16.27/hour. Ages 16+
Work with kids • Weekends & evenings free
Recreation Leaders lead activities and games for kids at
Summer Day Camp. Develop leadership skills while
working with kids and having fun!
Positions run roughly 6 weeks, from mid-June to early August.
The 2025 position will open in early 2025.
Special Recreation Leaders
2024 Pay Rate: $16.27/hour. Ages 16+
Work with kids & adults • Weekends & evenings free
Special Recreation Leaders lead activities and games for
kids and adults with intellectual disabilities at camp. The
perfect job for those who want to make a difference and
lifelong friendships.
Positions run roughly 6 weeks, from mid-June to early August.
The 2025 position will open in early 2025.
Junior Laborers
2024 Pay Rate: $16.27/hour. Ages 16+
Work outside in nature • Build skills for trade jobs
Keep the parks clean and beautiful while working
outside all summer. Perfect for teens looking for entry-level experience in landscape maintenance.
Positions start in April, May, and June.
The 2025 position will open in early 2025.
Additional positions are available for ages 18+.
