An ice rink is considered accessible if it has an accessible path of travel onto the rink.

Fast Passes are available at Maggie Daley Park for $40. A Fast Pass allows you to skip the skate rental line and get skates and locker for one person. Learn more.

Learn to Skate (Weekly Drop-In)
This drop-in session provides instruction on the basics of balance, forward stride, starting and stopping, and backward skating. Recreational or hockey helmets, gloves and knee pads are recommended.
Admission (includes skate rental): $10; (based on availability) and entry to public skate.
Rat hockey is available for individuals 18 & older to play pick-up games. Full hockey equipment is required, and slap shots are allowed. No checking permitted.

Pond Hockey is more like the neighborhood pick-up game and is less competitive than rat hockey. No slap shots or body checking allowed and hockey helmets are required. This activity is open to children and adults.
Stick & Puck
This activity offers open access to the ice specifically for practicing stickhandling, skating and shooting skills. No scrimmage games or slap shots allowed. Youth skaters may be on the ice with supervision.
Stick & Puck and Pond Hockey
This combined program offers 45 minutes of Stick & Puck followed by 45 minutes of Pond Hockey for one price. Recreational or hockey helmet required. Hockey equipment recommended.
Admission (includes skate rental): $8 per person, $10 for adult & child.
Sled assisted skating allows people of all abilities to skate together. These specialty sleds for both children and adults are designed with a foot guard, ABS bucket seat, footrest and pusher handle. No usage charge. Reservations required by calling (312) 442-2194. Please call to reserve 24 hours prior to your visit to the rink.
Skate trainers/walkers are available for children who are new to skating. These devices are available on a first come, first served basis at all rinks, at no charge. Please inquire when visiting a rink.
