The play elements in this park are truly elementary; water, stone and wood! Park 583 hosts a 70+ foot limestone spiral stream, powered by a hand spun water pump. Watch the water paint the limestone as it swirls and eddies to the end. See if you can change the flow, dam the stream or paint your own waterway. See if you can also find other hidden treasures like fossils, architectural pieces, former holes drilled to build the space, and the “Piano Stone”.
This park also invites you to picnic, play on the lawn, or use the logs and loose parts to construct whatever you can imagine.
