Occupying 10,000 square feet of space, the Wicker Park Gardens are designed, funded, and maintained by volunteers affiliated with the Wicker Park Garden Club. The gardens feature sustainable plants and native plants designed to provide four season interest to park patrons and an environment rich for birds, beneficial insects and pollinators.  All interested gardeners are invited to attend weekly garden tending days where they will learn both horticultural and design techniques that they can then use in their own gardens.  Each January and February, the club also offers an eight week long Home Landscape Design Workshop, where students learn the techniques of design and then produce a complete design for their home or community garden.
